Duet is an online philanthropic platform that enables donors to provide meaningful aid to vulnerable families in a more dignified, efficient, and personal way. Families request the exact items they need to rebuild their lives, and donors pay for those items on their behalf. We currently provide support to refugee families in Greece, and are actively expanding to COVID-19 relief in LA as well.
We are a group of 7 USC students and recent graduates who are building Duet out of the Innovation in Engineering Design for Global Challenges class. We have been operating since March 2019. Since then, we have facilitated over $40,000 in donations and built a donor community of over 350 members.
Duet has been featured in Viterbi News and Marshall News.
Duet is currently registered as a nonprofit, and is pending 501(c)(3) status.
Duet is seeking a development coordinator. We are seeking a passionate and collaborative individual to support Development operations to advance Duet’s social impact work around the world.
In close coordination with the Head of Business Development, the Development Coordinator will support a wide range of development needs for Duet’s philanthropically funded programs with the goal of inspiring more giving and interest among our various target demographics. This includes supporting all Development operations including research, database maintenance and grant writing and management.
This position is volunteer based and located remotely, though the main Duet team is located in Los Angeles.
We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented, entrepreneurial candidate with excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently and proactively is a must.

This position might be a great fit if:
Duet offers an opportunity to improve real lives, solve hard problems, and to make the world a smaller, friendlier place. You will gain firsthand experience growing an organization through the power of partnerships, while being a part of a supportive and engaged team of fellow changemakers who are determined to grow this into a sustainable long-term venture. (We are planning to start fundraising in earnest over the coming months, or as soon as we have our 501(c)(3) certification).
Assuming all goes well, there is also the possibility of extending this internship into a permanent position past Fall 2020. Join us in rebuilding lives, together.
