About World Refugee Day

World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations to honour refugees around the globe. It falls each year on June 20th and celebrates the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution. World Refugee Day is an occasion to build empathy and understanding for their plight and to recognize their resilience in rebuilding their lives.

We have decided to celebrate World Refugee Day all week long. Join us by participating in one of the many activities below.

How to participate

Donate an item on our site. Help us sell out our site during the week of June 20th to provide our refugee families with the items they need.

Start your own fundraiser or build a team. Refugees travel 2,750 miles on average. Starting on World Refugee Day, run, ride, walk, or hike with us to raise awareness and provide resources for our refugee families. Get outside and join us for the shared challenge, for the camaraderie, and to make a positive impact in the life of a refugee. Learn more and sign up here.

Join our Instagram Live. We will be kicking off World Refugee Week on Instagram. Join our CEO and Co-founder, Michael Cesar, on June 20th for a conversation with other advocates in the field for an enlightening conversation on the lives of refugees. More details to come.

Join our Reps for Refugee Event. Participate in this fun and free fitness class. Exact date and details yet to come. Donations encouraged.
